We know privacy is important so aside from following the laws, we’ll make sure that you’ll be assured that your data is well-taken care of.
The policy written here sets out our privacy practices and describes how we use and handle the information we collect when you visit and use our platform, mobile application, other products, and content (“Services”).
Information We May Collect
We collect information about the Wanderast pages you access, some information about your mobile device (such as type of device or browser used), information you give us (such as email addresses used to register), and referral information. When you use Wanderast, we may collect and store your Internet Protocol address. We may use this information to against spam and other abuse; or to generate aggregate, non-identifying information about how and where people use Wanderast Services. When you create your Wanderast account, and authenticate via a third-party service like Google or Facebook, we only use the information collected for creating accounts of users on the site.
We will send administrative emails about account/service changes, or new policies in our platform. You can’t choose to unsubscribe from them. However, you can always choose to unsubscribe from non-administrative emails such as monthly newsletters and other promotional/informational emails. We won’t email you to ask for your password or other private account information. If you receive such an email, send it to firstname.lastname@example.org so we could fix the issue.
Wanderast uses third-party vendors and hosting partners, such as Microsoft for hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology we need to run Wanderast. We maintain two types of logs: server logs and event logs.
Personal Information and Deleting your Account
To protect information from accidental or malicious destruction, we may not immediately delete residual copies from our active servers and may not remove information from our backup systems. If you intentionally deleted your account, your account and content may be unrecoverable.
We use encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect data transmitted to and from our site. However, the Internet is 100% secure for data transmission, so we can’t fully guarantee your security. You use the Service at your own risk, and you’re responsible for taking reasonable measures to secure your account (like using a strong password).
Changes to this Policy
Wanderast may periodically update this Policy. We’ll notify you about significant changes to it. The latest version of the policy will always be in this page.
